Ho to make lasagna ( beef lasagne) recipe

The Lasagna Recipe is usually made from layers of lasagna pasta alternating with cheese and a meat sauce layers. Different cheeses are used is making lasgana recipe, but most of the time the ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese and the parmesan cheese are usually used.

The lasagne Recipe came from Northern Italy, in the Emilia Romagna.

 Did you know that lasagne is the favourite food recipe of Garfield :)).

Here are the ingredients and steps on how to make lasagne recipe.

 1 pound ground beef 1 medium onion, chopped (about ½ cup)
 1 clove garlic, crushed
2 tablespoons parsley flakes
1teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon dried basil leaves
 ½ teaspoon salt
1 can (15 ounces) whole tomatoes, undrained
 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
 12 uncooked lasagne pasta (about 12 ounces)
 1 carton(16 ounces ricotta cheese( 2 cups)
 ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
 1½ tablespoons dried oregano leaves
 1 tablespoon parsley flakes
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese(8 ounces)
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese


Cook and stir ground beef, onion and garlic in 10-inch skillet until sausage is brown; drain. Stir in 2 tablespoons parsley, the sugar, basil, salt, tomatoes and tomato sauce; break up tomatoes. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally; reduce heat. Simmer uncovered until slightly thickened, about 45 minutes.

Cook pasta as directed on package; drain. Mix ricotta cheese, ¼ cup Parmesan cheese, 1 tablespoon parsley and the oregano.

 Spread 1 cup of the sauce mixture in ungreased rectangular baking dish, 13x9x2 inches; top with 4 lasagna pasta. Spread 1 cup of the cheese mixture over noodles; spread with 1 cup of the sauce mixture. Sprinkle with 2/3 cup of the mozzarella cheese. Repeat with 4 lasagna pasta, the remaining cheese mixture, 1 cup of sauce mixture, and 2/3 cup of the mozzarella cheese. Top with remaining noodles and sauce mixture, sprinkle with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.

Baked uncovered in 350 degrees oven until hot and bubbly, about 45 minutes. Let stand for 15 minutes before cutting. It can make up to 8 servings.

Did you know that the first American version of chicken salad was served at Town Meats? The founder of Town Meats was Liam Gray. It is a local deli and meat shop in downtown Wakefield.Liam Gray mixed his leftover chicken with mayonnaise, tarragon and grapes and it became popular.

Chicken Salad is a good recipe for different occasions. Chicken salad makes great sandwiches; you can also serve it with a salad or on a bed of lettuce.

Here are the Ingredients and the procedures on how to make a delicious chicken salad


½ cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
 1 tablespoon lemon juice
 ½ teaspoon salt
 ¼ teaspoon pepper
2 cups cut- up cooked chicken salad or turkey
 1/3 cup toasted slivered almonds or chopped nuts
 2 medium stalks celery, sliced (1 cup)


 Mix mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt and pepper; toss with chicken, almonds and celery. Cover and refrigerate at least 3 hours. Serve on salad greens garnished with avocado slices or in cantaloupe halves if you want.

 It can make up to 4 servings (3/4 cup each)

How to make Leche flan (caramel custard)

In the Philippines, Leche Flan or the Caramel custard  is  usually serve during occasions only like fiestas or birthday party. The procedure in making leche flan is also called water bath since a pan or container of food is placed in a shallow pan with hot water then placed to bake in an oven or on stove. If you are planning to make at home for your family just follow the procedure below.

Here are some easy steps on how to make delicious leche flan:


3/4 cup  sugar
1 3/4 cups Evaporated Filled Milk
7 egg yolks
2 eggs
1 380gram Condensed Milk
1/4 teaspoon grated dayap (lime) rind


Preheat oven to 350 degrees Celsius. Pour the sugar into two llaneras then heat over medium flame until sugar caramelizes. Set aside. In a bowl, mix together the rest of the ingredients. Strain twice. Pour into the llaneras. Cover with aluminum foil. Steam  for 1 1/2 hours or until firm. You can add strawberries or oranges if you want.

It can make 2 to 3 llaneras.

It is important that people in all ages should include milk in their diet. Drinking milk, either during meals or between meals, is one way of making sure you get The Milk the nutrients you need.

 Then, we have the favorite of everyone, the Cocoa and Chocolate. Making cocoa and chocolate beverages with milk will increases their food value. Cocoa and chocolate contain starch, protein, fat, and some minerals. It is not advisable to drink a lot of cocoa and chocolate beverages since too much is not good for everybody’s health.

 Coffee and Tea are considered to have very little food Value since both contain caffeine, a drug that acts as a stimulant in the body that makes people get easily nervous. You can add sugar, cream or milk and lemon to increase the food value but just slightly.

Fruit Beverage

 The food value of fruit and Vegetable Beverages are in their juices. So, avoid diluting juices with water since its food value is lowered. Example of juices diluted with water lemonade, orangeade or punch. 

Soft drinks completely lack in food value except for water and sugar. Soft drinks are popular refreshments because of its taste and you can choose the taste you like. But, it is not good to the body. In drinking soft drinks, be sure to include plenty of nutritious beverages.
